In their previous appearance, Rayo Vallecano showcased their quality from the start, sharing Group C with renowned teams like FC Barcelona, Stabaek Fotball, IFK Lidingo FK, St. Josephs Boys, and FC Flora. Their performance in the group stage and knockout rounds was remarkable, culminating in a 1-0 victory over PSG in the match for seventh place.
