Madrid – 24/08/2021. The HLA Universitario Moncloa Hospital and the Madrid Football Cup (MFC) have agreed to work together for another year to support grassroots soccer at a national and international level. Both entities feel identified with the values that are represented in teamwork and fair play, in addition to betting unwaveringly on the benefits of sport from an early age and as part of everyday life, being one of the pillars to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

The Madrid Football Cup is one of the most prestigious U-14 football tournaments in the world. Last year it was postponed due to the restrictive measures introduced by COVID-19 and in 2021 the competition will be held again on September 17, 18 and 19 at the Polideportivo Municipal José Caballero, in Alcobendas (Madrid). The event will bring together the 12 best teams in the world in their category, including Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, among others, who will compete to lift the cup.

“This year we have had a great response from the teams, they are eager to continue demonstrating the work they have continued to do despite the adversities of recent months. We know the quality of the basic forces that these teams have and we are sure that we will have a spectacular tournament,” said Chema Romero, organizer of the Madrid Football Cup.

For his part, the manager of the Hospital HLA Universitario Moncloa, Dr. José Ramón Vicente Rull, wanted to emphasize that “we have not hesitated to support the MFC again, especially after such a complicated year at all levels, including the sporting sphere. The benefit of sport for a healthy life is one of the values that are part of the essence of the HLA Group, and as a healthcare center we are committed to good practices associated with maintaining health. Even more so, supporting the practice of physical activity from an early age is a responsibility with which we feel especially involved”. HLA Moncloa will provide medical coverage for the tournament with a medicalized ambulance at the gates of the José Caballero during the event.
