Phil Foden, Champions League winner

Manchester City were crowned UEFA Champions League champions on Saturday after beating Inter Milan 1-0. The English team wins its third title of the season after winning the Premier League and the FA Cup after beating Manchester United in the final.

Phil Foden did not start this match, but came on as a substitute after replacing the injured Kevin de Bruyne in the 36th minute of the first half. Despite this, Foden was one of the Citizen’s best players, key to City winning their first Champions League.

With this title, Phil Foden adds to his trophy cabinet at only 23 years of age. All of them were achieved with Manchester City.

Phil Foden at the Madrid Football Cup

Phil Foden becomes the first former Madrid Football Cup player to lift the continental title. Foden played in the tournament in 2012 with Manchester City and won the tournament’s best player award, despite his team failing to progress beyond the group stage. Manchester City faced rivals such as I.S. Alcobendas, La Castellane or the tournament champion, Juventus FC.
