The first match did not go as they expected, as they tied the match 0-0 against the North American team creating many chances to open the score.

In the second match, they faced NK Triglav Kranj, where the minutes passed and the team could not open the scoreboard. It wasn’t until the final minutes that Barca scored twice and earned three points for the first time in this tournament.

After the end of the tournament’s morning session, FC Barcelona managed to beat FK RFS 4-0 in their last match on Friday. On Saturday, to finish the group stage, the azulgranas continued with a perfect pace beating IFK Lidingö FK and 2-1 to Arsenal FC. In the quarterfinals, they faced the second team of Group C, their Madrid rival Rayo Alcobendas 4-0. On Sunday they continued their championship-winning ways by beating Real Madrid in a very close match where they managed to earn a place in the final after winning 1-0.

The MFC gave us an unprecedented final with two Group A finalists. Crossfire Premier was making history, advancing to the knockout stage for the first time by playing some great football, leaving behind the likes of Charlton Athletic and IF Brommapojkarna.

Sunday’s final was a visual spectacle for all in attendance despite the large amount of rain that fell at the Luis Aragonés Stadium. FC Barcelona stalked their opponent with great ball control, but the North American team had dangerous counterattacks creating danger to the Culé defense. It was not until the second half that FC Barcelona managed to take the lead in the scoreboard beating Crossfire Premier 3-0.
