Next Generation, 6 players who have played in the Madrid Football Cup

Football news website GOAL made a top 50 list of the best young football stars and what they have achieved to get where they are now. Six of the players on the list have made an appearance at the Madrid Football Cup over the years. These are the six incredible athletes who are rising to the top:


El Chadaille Bitshiabu

Bitshiabu is a seventeen-year-old France player who has been in the Paris Saint-Germain academy since he was very young. During his first debut in December 2021, he broke Kingsley Coman’s record becoming the youngest player to debut in this club. He also played an important role in France’s victory at the European Under-17 Championship the following year. He competed in the Madrid Football Cup in the 2017 edition, with his current team Paris Saint-Germain.


Ismael Gharbi

Gharbi is an eighteen-year-old France player. The rising player was first noticed when he was seen with Lionel Messi during an open training session at Paris Saint-Germain. He recently changed his international allegiance from France to Spain. In the upcoming years, he will stay at PSG, but he has also taken an interest in Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC. The midfielder played in the Madrid Football Cup in 2018, with his current team Paris Saint-Germain.


Lewis Hall

Hall is an eighteen year old English player. Hall has been playing in the Chelsea FC academy since 2012. He has been a making his way in the under-18 and under-23 squads. Last November he made his first senior debut in the Premier League. Over the years he has also been a regular player for the English squad. He has played in the national squad from under-15 to under-19. The midfielder made his appearance In the Madrid Football cup in the 2017 edition.


Antonio Nusa

Nusa is a seventeen-year-old Norwegian player. His nickname is ‘The Norwegian Neymar’. He is the second youngest scorer on the Champions League list, after scoring at his debut with Club Brugge last September in a 4-0 win against FC Porto. The forward player is currently representing the national Norwegian under-18 team. Nusa made his appearance in the Madrid Football Cup in 2018 with his former club Stabaek IF.


Paul Wanner

Wanner is a seventeen-year-old Austrian player. He became know in January 2022 when he made his first Bundesliga debut for Bayern Munich. Becoming the youngest player in club’s history to play in the league. After his debut, he continued playing for the senior team. Currently he is still playing for the German national team under-17, but Austrian coach Ralf Rangnick invited him to play for the Austrian senior team. He played in the Madrid Football Cup in the 2018 edition with his current club Bayern Munich.


Warren Zaire-Emery

Zaire-Emery is a seventeen-year-old France player. He made his first senior debut for Paris Saint-Germain in August 2022. He became the youngest debutant, starter, and goal scorer in French Champions history. He came the youngest player to start In a knock-out face in the Champions League against Bayern Munich. He’s been with the France national team the under-16 squad.
In April 2022, he was selected to play in the France under-17 squad for the UEFA Under-17 Euro.
