This weekend the IL Ros coaches visited Madrid to visit the best football academies where they were able to learn the secrets of Atlético de Madrid from the coaches who make all the magic possible.
A very complete day in Majadahonda where first thing in the morning the 14 Norwegian coaches had the opportunity to see the world champion, Fernando Torres, with his U-19 team. The same players who reached the semifinals of the Youth League this season.
At the end of the training, they had an audiovisual talk about the methodology of Atlético de Madrid in the younger categories. The talk was given by the son of a red and white legend such as Paulo Futre. Fabio Futre, despite his young age, has great experience as a coach and is currently the coordinator of the U12 and U13 categories of Atlético de Madrid.
In the afternoon, we were received by Iván Paz, the coordinator of the U-13 and U-14 categories, explaining to the coaches in a very visual way how Atlético de Madrid youth teams play. The way in which all the teams work under the same ideology of the first team.
The following day, the coaches visited the facilities at the Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas, Real Madrid’s training facilities. This impressive facility is home to 11 natural and artificial grass football fields, with seating for more than 11,000 spectators. You won’t find a Sports Complex of this level anywhere else in the world, with changing rooms, gymnasiums, classrooms, conference rooms, offices, hydrotherapy areas, medical center and press rooms, among many other facilities for Real Madrid players.
During the visit to the different fields inside Valdebebas, they had the opportunity to watch a match between Real Madrid and Coslada U-14, where players such as Enzo Alves and Bryan Bugarín stand out.
The rest of the afternoon, the Norwegian coaches had a visit to the center of Madrid, eating typical Spanish food in the Plaza Mayor, to later experience an exciting soccer match in Fuenlabrada, where the team from the capital hosted Real Sociedad B, led by world champion Xabi Alonso.
