Rigas Futbols Skolas confirms its participation for the Madrid Football Cup U-14 and will be competing against the best teams in the category on September 15th, 16th and 17th. This year’s edition will be the first time they’re competing at the Madrid Football Cup.
The boys are ready to compete against the best teams in the category where there are confirmed teams from Sweden, England, Portugal, Slovakia, Austria, Norway, and many other countries that we will soon be announced through our social media and website.
FK RFS
FK RFS is a Latvian football club based in Riga. The club was founded in 2005, it first went by the name FSK Daugava-90 Riga. In 2016 they took on their current name FK RFS. In 2018 was the year that FK RFS first qualified for the UEFA Europa League. A year later they won their first honor in the Latvian Cup. In the season of 2021-2022, they won their first Virsliga. Thanks to that win, they went on to compete in the 2022-2023 UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds.
The Latvian club has an impressive women’s department. In the years from 2013 to 2017, the women’s team won five times in a row their National Championship. Because of those achievements, they were placed for the UEFA Women’s Championships League.
Paris Saint-Germain, Charlton Athletic and SL Benfica were the first to announce their participation. We can’t wait to see what FK RFS has in store for their debut at this year’s Madrid Football Cup.
