Theo and Lucas Bergvall continue to make their way in Swedish football after leaving IF Brommapojkarna.
The Bergvall brothers continue to fulfill their dreams in Swedish football. They now join Djurgardens IF after leaving the club that saw them grow up, IF Brommapojkarna. Despite being followed by many European clubs, they have decided to listen to their heart, as Djurgardens has always been present in their family, their mother played for 3 years at the club. Considering therefore that it was the perfect step to continue to develop as a footballer.
Lucas Bergvall was considered the MVP of the Madrid Football Cup 2018 crowning his team as champions against Atletico Madrid. It is no surprise that many clubs have taken notice of the highly talented midfielder, as he had trials with Manchester United in 2021.
IF Brommapojkarna’s 06 generation won five of Europe’s most important tournaments, such as the Madrid Football Cup. This team, led by Peter Kisfaludy dazzled the best teams thanks to the midfield commanded by Lucas.
“You think foreign clubs have much better academies, but it doesn’t have to be that way. They may have better conditions and more money, but as long as you play great football you can achieve a lot. We showed that it didn’t really matter how many coaches or how much money you had. When we played Bayern Munich, they came with seven coaches and there we were with one coach and one manager and we beat them 3-0. It was like an opening where you understood that this could lead to something big and I think everyone in the team felt that,” Lucas told the Swedish media.
“Lucas is one of Sweden’s most promising players who has been scouted by many foreign clubs and we are proud and grateful that he chose us,” said Bosse Anderson, Djurgardens Sporting Director.
“He is an amazing player, very skilled and experienced despite his age, it is great that he is still playing in Sweden.”
